Organized Confusion: Guest Post from Amber (Steadman) Lendin

This is Amber (Steadman) Lendin (AKA, Aunt to Ella and Ariana, little sister to Matt, and Sister in Law to Nina)

You might have noticed the DONATE button on top of the blog today that looks like this.

Early on when Matt and Nina were trying to get to Children’s Hospital of Boston from Portland, I proposed doing some fundraising, however due to their self reliance and not in major need of money - they didn’t want us to move forward with it at the time.

During this tough time with Ariana, Matt also lost his job at the end of October. On one hand it has been a blessing that the entire family has been able to stay together but also hard because they will be in Boston for at least 3 months and not sure when Matt will be able to find a new job. Based on this and being the helpful little sister, I’m going to go ahead and set up an online option if people would like to donate via Paypal. They will be OK and manage with out donations but several people have asked how to help with Christmas season approaching.

The donated funds would be used for their very high deductible health plan and travel that will be needed for this year and the next few years. They were fortunate enough to have private insurance before this began which makes the overall situation much better but out of pockets cost are still substantial.

Just having little Ariana the Warrior Princess and the rest of the family in your thoughts and prayers is what they want and need the most, but if you are interested in donating, I've set up a secured PayPal link on this blog that will accept online donations from any credit card or bank account
