We have a redhead with a fiery temper on our hands. Ari extubated herself twice this week. It's a somewhat invasive procedure to intubate so this is not a good habit for her to have. She has, however, been moved into her own personal suite and out of the bay. Amazing how much quieter it is.
They've managed to bring her electrolytes to normal levels but they did that by cutting her diuretics which means that she is once again swollen in her face and upper chest. We now have an OR date. She is on the schedule for Tuesday. She will be in the operating room all day on Tuesday the 21st. They'll be taking her at 7:30am. Dr. Foker will be flying in to assist on this operation which we are grateful for.
We really hope this will be the last big surgery and that we can finally look ahead to the future.
