Good news has been hard to come by but today we've received some great news.
We had a pretty early call from Children's Hospital today that had us worried because it's not normal for them to call us. Since Nina has been here the past couple weeks, we call them several times a day but they don’t tend to call us unless there is something wrong. Our fears were quickly dismissed with the great news that they would extubate her (remove her breathing tube) and remove the last chest tube today!!!
Ariana continues to be our warrior princess and the toughest cookie I know. To see her bounce back after being through much is so encouraging. She wants to come home as much as we want her to come home.
Nina flies back early Sunday morning, and we’ve been dreading that day but after seeing the pictures of little Ari’s eyes and smile today I’m more at peace that Nina is heading back at the perfect time.
Finger are crossed, woods been knocked, rabbit foot is in hand, Buddha belly has been rubbed that this time we are getting closer to bringing her home.
Tomorrow is the last day that I will have my wonderful wife and last day Ella will her amazing mom here until some unknown date, we’re not sure when Nina and Ariana will be back but we hope it won’t be longer than 2 months.
Let’s continue to keep the good news coming.

LOVE the smile Ari!!! What a sweetheart. This is awesome news. Forget Buddha bellies and rabbit feet...Praise God! We are very happy to hear this news and will continue to diligently pray for the day when the entire Steadman family is reunited.
What wonderful wonderful news. The pictures tell the story about how good she must be feeling. Have a safe trip back to Boston, Nina. Matt, you and Ella will miss them both, but the end of their time in Boston is near. So happy for all of you. Hugs and love to all.
Ditto what Angela says--"Praise the Lord!" I've been struggling with why so much happens to our loved ones, but there is a plan that we don't know or understand. Everyone I know has been praying to our God, whom we know has made miracles! I have never heard of a miracle from buddha or any other idols--they just sit there! So praise the Lord for continued healing not only for Ari but for the family also! We can't wait to get baby Ari home!
These pictures are the best. Ariana looks great. Tell her Portland is ready for her!
Wonderful, Beautiful!!!!!
