We had a pleasant surprise on Friday. Children’s Hospital Boston
informed us that Ariana would be flown to OHSU in Portland. Surprise! She’s here. She
arrived yesterday at 5pm.
Poor thing was tuckered out and once she settled in, fell fast
asleep. The flight crew said she
travelled great.
She remains in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
(PICU). Her respiratory
status remains tenuous and continues to be an obstacle to getting her
home. We’re not sure what will
happen going forward as she has been through things nobody should ever have to
experience let alone a newborn.
Matt was able to see Ariana for the first time since
January. He was amazed how many new teeth she had and how much bigger she has
grown. Ari has the most beautiful
eyes and long eyelashes.
The grandparents and Ella (currently in Kansas) will be here next week and they
can’t wait to see Ari. Ella has
been asking about her little sister so we’re excited that they get to see each
other again and just hope for the day that they will actually be able to play
together.

This is wonderful news! Gav and I pray every night for Ari's breathing to get stronger with every breathe so that she gets well enough to be back close to her family and all the people that love her. Prayers are being answered, and God will do amazing things with this warrior! I have no doubt. Looks like we have to change our prayer up to not just close to you, but home!
Congratulations! One very big step forward! I've been waiting to here Ari is closer to home - I'm SO excited for you guys!
