Yeah for Ari!!! Ariana had a great day. They did the esophagram and there was NO leak at the site of the connection. Dr. Nina was able to be in the room when they did it and saw that the esophagus does get thinner near the bottom but other than that it all looked good. What the doctors were checking for is any kind of leak at that site of the 2 esophagus ends where they made the connection. They also removed the last chest tube that she had as well and the follow up X ray didn't show any fluid build up!!
Next on the agenda is getting her extubated and working on getting all those drugs reduced and weaned off.
Heading into this Friday which we hope will be a good Friday, Matt is planning on holding Ariana one last time before he heads home.
We imagine busy last days here for Matt and little Ella. All of Ella fans at the hospital have been getting their last hugs in and we've been taking pictures of them and Ella for a scrap book

Woohoo!! It's so good to see her eyes opened. Still a swollen little angel. This is great news! I know Ella will be missed by all in that hospital. We must remember-as tough as all this is-God wouldn't have given you this situation if He didn't know you could handle it. Love to all of you!
I'm so happy to see her pretty blue eyes. She looks like--get me out of here, says aunt Debbie! Now she just has to start breathing and doing her feedings so we can get them all home! Have a safe trip Matt & Ella! Love Mom
