Hello Family and Friends,
We have some promising news from Thursday. Her esophagus looks great and is 10mm wide, which is the size they are happy with for now. The next obstacles are dealing with the side effects. The removed her breathing tube on Friday. Fingers crossed but she has been able to breathe on her own since then. This is a huge step if she can continue to breathe on her own. We are very early in the process but hope that this time she is able to maintain it.
When we called the nurse today, we actually heard Ari cry, which was great because of course when she had the breathing tube in she couldn’t make any sounds.
Still a long road but we hope that this is a major step forward.

Thanks for the good news. Ari looks like she is pleased too. Her eyes and mouth say it all. So expressive!! What a doll she is. So glad you could hear her cry. Our prayers continue to be with all of you. Safe travels, Nina, as you head back to Boston and give Ari hugs and kisses from all of us (family) here in the Chicago area.
There's my little grand baby girl! I'm so happy you have those big blues eyes open wide! Now keep up that breathing so we can get you home to all who love you so much!
Thanks for the updates. Here's to hoping things continue to improve. You have our continued prayers :-)
Ohh this is amazing!! Look at you little Ariana! You're so beautiful. Keep growing and getting stronger everyday. You'll need energy when you get home to your big sister! I love you little princess.
